20th Annual Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Fishing Tournament

The 20th Edition of the Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Fishing Tournament has come and gone. Although the sun was out, it was a breezy day. No matter how many kids we have attend, the excitement of the kids is always high with anticipation of catching as many panfish as possible. We had kids aged 2 to 15 participating. Each participant walked away with a prize and the top 3 in each age group also walked away with a medal and the angler that landed the most also won a trophy.

This year we added a new feature to the event. We have shown the entire fishing process, baiting, landing, releasing your catch for another day. However, fish are a resource we are allowed to harvest within regulations. This year we had fresh fish and a demonstration of how to properly fillet and bluegill. Thanks to Mike from Fin Freaks for cooking and providing fresh bluegill, perch fillets for the kids to try and the fillet demonstration. Also want thank Jim from Fish-Hawk Angling Adventures for fresh crappie and walleye fillets.
