19th Annual Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Fishing Tournament
The weather Gods were not on our side this year. However, 34 kids and their parents/guardians braved the rain and cold weather. The cold front made for some difficult fishing situations but some of our anglers were able to convince to bite their worm. Like other years in the past, a variety of species were caught. Species, like pike, mud pout, rock bass and of course a large amount of bluegill, pumpkinseed. However, we didn’t see any perch caught this year.
Congrats to all the anglers everyone walked away with prizes. Congrats to the top 3 in the 4 age groups who also walked away with medals and the young angler that caught the most fish walking away with the trophy for the most fish caught. Also, every participant there also had full bellies of hotdogs, chips and water. We are also happy to announce that all the fish caught were released so that they can be enjoyed by other anglers at another date.
I want to thank the volunteers, that without them this day would be a lot more difficult than it is. We want to thank all our sponsors for their continued support as we try and get more kids involved in the outdoors and the great sport of fishing.
